Munnar is a hill station in Idukki district of Kerala. Munnar is situated 5,200 ft above sea level in the Western Ghats range of mountains. Munnar meaning "three rivers" is at the confluence of the three rivers Mudhirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers. It is the largest panchayat in the Idukki districts and situated on the Kannan Devan Hills village in Devikulam taluk.

As the Height varies from 4,760 ft to 8,842 arounf the region in and around Munnar and it is above sea level the temperature ranges between 5 °C (41 °F) and 25 °C (77 °F) in winter and 15 °C (59 °F) and 25 °C (77 °F) in summer. Temperatures will be reduced to as low as -4 °C (25 °F) in some region of Munnar.
